LAN Engineering Support Work
September 2001 saw the beginning of Daly Technical
Services Organization consulting work for the Maryland National Capital Park and
Planning Commission (MNCPPC). Daly was approached by
the MNCPPC to employ system updates to two offices, totaling approximately 300
users. These updates consisted of installing the Microsoft Office suite, and
migrating users from CC Mail to Outlook.
The team chosen to carryout the integration consisted of one project manager, two
team leaders, and eight engineers. The
team completed the task with six days of work, working around the
customer’s schedule.
The MNCPPC had previously used CC Mail as their form of
e-mail. The Daly team came in
and converted all 300 user emails to Outlook 2000.
Daly Technical Services Organization was able
to integrate and update the MNCPPC network in record time and with proven
success.
